These are the rules for using SizeSync. They're short, plain, and binding. If you don't agree with any of them, don't use the product.
You must be 16 or older to use SizeSync.
SizeSync is a Chrome extension that recommends clothing sizes by comparing the dimensions of items you already own and like (your "wardrobe") against the size charts on supported retailer product pages. We may add other surfaces (web, mobile) in the future.
It is not a guarantee that any recommended size will fit. Size charts are approximate. Fabrics behave differently. Your preferences shift. Brands change patterns between seasons. We're confident the recommendations are useful (they're built on real dimension data), but treat them as informed advice, not a promise. If a recommendation is wrong, please send us feedback so we can do better; we can't refund you for a returned shirt.
You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Google controls Google-account security, but if someone gets into your account, tell us at felix@sizesync.fit so we can protect or suspend your SizeSync account.
One person per account. Don't share login credentials. (You're welcome to recommend SizeSync to friends; they should sign up themselves.)
Your wardrobe is yours. Every fit rating you give and every note you write is your data. You can export it at any time (email us and we'll send a JSON file) and delete it at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
To provide the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, display, export, and delete your wardrobe content as needed to operate SizeSync. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
You also grant us the right to use your wardrobe and fit data to create aggregated, anonymized statistics and models about how sizes and fit relate across brands. These aggregates don't identify you. Because of that, and as our Privacy Policy explains under Aggregated, anonymized insights, we may keep and use them even after you delete your content or account, including to improve SizeSync, build new fit features, and as part of a sale or merger of the business. We never sell or hand over the personal wardrobe tied to your account; the aggregates are general knowledge about clothing, not about you.
If we ever shut SizeSync down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export everything you've saved, where reasonably possible.
SizeSync's name, logo, recommendation engine, and original codebase belong to us. (The codebase also uses open-source libraries like linkedom, React, and Supabase's client; those belong to their respective authors under their own licenses, and SizeSync uses them under those terms.)
You're using SizeSync, not buying any part of it. Sharing screenshots, recommending it to people, writing about it publicly, all welcome. What you can't do: ship a competing product called SizeSync, copy our codebase to spin up a clone, or scrape our recommendations at scale and resell them.
The aggregated, anonymized fit dataset we build from usage, and any recommendation models derived from it, are also ours.
If you breach these rules, we may suspend or terminate your account immediately. Your statutory data-protection rights (access, export, deletion) continue to apply even after termination.
SizeSync is free during the early period. Eventually there will be a paid tier with features the free version doesn't have. Things like fit-history learning and return-risk prediction. The current core recommendation is free, and we expect it to stay free; if that ever changes, we'll give clear notice before charging.
This is a small project run by one person. Features may come and go, things may change shape, and eventually SizeSync may shut down entirely. Where reasonably possible, if we make a change that materially affects you (removing a feature you rely on, ending the service), we'll email you at least 30 days before it happens and give you a chance to export your data. Urgent security, legal, or technical situations may require shorter notice.
We may also take SizeSync offline temporarily for maintenance or because something has broken. We'll get it back up as quickly as we can.
SizeSync is provided as-is. We do our best to make recommendations accurate and the service reliable, but we can't promise either. You use it at your own risk for casual shopping decisions.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for losses you suffer because of a wrong size recommendation, a service outage, lost wardrobe data, or anything else connected to using SizeSync. If we are found liable despite this, our total liability to you is capped at whatever you've paid us in the last 12 months, with a minimum floor of £50 for free users.
Nothing in these terms limits anything that can't be limited under UK law. That includes:
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute we can't resolve by email goes to the courts of England and Wales.
If you live somewhere else as a consumer, this does not affect any mandatory rights or local-court protections you have in your country of residence. Those continue to apply.
SizeSync is an early project. We may transfer or assign these terms, along with the rights and data they cover, to another company if SizeSync is acquired by, merges with, or sells its assets to that company. If that happens, we'll let you know as described in the Privacy Policy under Business transfers, and the new owner has to keep honouring these terms and that policy (or give you notice and a chance to leave first). You can't transfer your account or these terms to anyone else without our written agreement.
If we change anything material, we'll email everyone with an account and update the date at the top. Continuing to use SizeSync after the change means you accept the new terms. If you don't, delete your account.
